Hobbits's Don't Like Adventures but Adventures Like Hobbits's

We are off on a GREAT adventure.  Jason and I have moved often during our 19 year marriage and we are off again!  There is no one I would rather go with than him and our children.  Jason has been offered a position near Texarkana, Arkansas.  It is a good opportunity for him and I am proud of him.
We now begin the process of looking for a new home and finding new friends.  Everywhere we have lived we have made friends and I can't say we have been disappointed in any community we have been a part of.  I know the future will be the same.  We look forward to what God has in store for us.  I will keep you updated on our move!

Welcome First Day of Summer

       Welcome
         First
         Day
          of
   Summer!!!!

We started our Summer Celebration with a plate of blueberries pancakes.  The official opening day of summer deserves a celebration.

We will hit the pool after lunch to lounge and soak up the sun.  Then to top off the day we are going to make homemade sundaes with lots of ooey gooey toppings.

Do you have any special plans to mark the First Day of Summer?

Nineteen Years

Nineteen years ago I married my best friend.  I was only seventeen at the time and had just graduated high school.
I have spent over half my life with Jason and he is a man of integrity.  I am blessed to be loved by him.   When we were first married we were so broke that a night out was Mcdonald's cheeseburgers for 59 cents and $2 in the motorcycle gas tank to ride around the lake.

We have experienced the birth of three great kids!  We have grieved the death of 5 grandparents and 2 great grandma's.  We have lived in three states.  We moved to Dallas when our second born was 6 weeks old.  We have owned a machine shop.  We have purchased 4 homes.  We have traveled to Las Vegas, Gulf of Mexico, Black Hills, and the East Coast even though we could not afford a honeymoon.

Each sunrise brings a new day to share with Jason.  In honor or our nineteen years I will share nineteen things I love about him.

1. Smile
2. Work Ethic
3. Beautiful Blue Eyes
4. Generosity
5. His Famous Toast
6. Laugh
7. His cards and love notes

9. How he holds my hand when we pray
10. He can fix ANYTHING
11. Only he grills a steak the way I like it everytime
12. My knight (he's got my back)
13. Listens
14. Sense of Humor
15. Great Daddy
16. Supportive and Encouraging
17. Sexy
18. Always leaves the toilet seat down
19. Loves me the way I am as we grow together

Recital and Wedding

My daughter Jenelle had her Spring Recital June 2nd.  She is talented and we are very proud of her.  She loves the violin and enjoys fiddle music.  Here is her teacher.
Miss Celia is a joy and we love visiting with her at lessons.  She is also our fiddle player at Cowboy Church.

My baby sister married her true love on May 28th.  Here she is pictured with our Grandma Norma.  I was almost 16 when she was born and she is a great blessing.  I wish her and Jason many, many years of happiness.  Below is my niece Reagan showing off her new baby sister. Reagan is wearing the dress Jenelle wore at her Mom and Dad's wedding.

Green Beans and Daisies

I found the most wonderful lunch cafe in Rogers.  It is in the Village Creek Center and named the Green Bean.  This is their hummus salad.
My new creative outlet is arranging flowers.  I had some left over after I arranged a bouquet for a friend who had a new baby girl.  Here are the results.

Wonderful Trip

Jason and I took a little trip without the kiddos last week.  I enjoy spending time with him more now than I did 20 years ago!  He is my best friend and I am blessed to share my life with him.
We started our trip in Boston and walked the Freedom Trail which follows the ride of Paul Revere. Then we headed to Salem, MA and toured the witch museum.
The next day we headed for the Beach.  We went to Hampton Beach in New Hampshire along with thousands of college kids.
We decided to drive up Highway 1A that follows the coast to Maine.  The drive was beautiful and we found a light house in Maine.  We also found lobster in Maine..yum, yum.  I enjoyed walking the beaches we stopped at and found many treasures.

Our last morning we woke at 4am to watch the sunrise on Hampton Beach.  It was spectacular and very romantic to walk along the beach hand in hand with my husband.
