Singing in the Rain

I wish I were doing this at least. If this were smellivision I would add the scent of rain on hot grass.  I can smell it now. 

For 30 Days

I love this video.  I have heard of the idea of doing something for 30 days to establish a habit but never for the pure enjoyment of it.  I have been making a list of things I would like to do for 30 days at a time.  Here are a few things I am going to try.  Write Fiction, Take Photos, Draw, Write Poetry, Meditate, Laugh, Bicycle, Knit, Cook a New Recipe, Eat Chocolate (ok lets not get carried away).  Some things I am not good at such as meditate (sit still quietly) or draw but that is the fun of it.  Who knows, maybe there is an artist locked up inside of me.  Perhaps I will be the next Rembrant?  I hope to expand my horizons by doing things I enjoy or always wanted to do. What things can you think of to do?  I would love to hear your ideas.

Fishing for Smiles

About dusk on Friday night I decided to go to the Fairgrounds Park and take some photos.  Derek asked if he could bring his fishing pole. 

I was just getting ready to go walking when Derek snagged his first catfish.

He caught three with two of them being big enough to keep.  He lost several others.

We stayed until the Mama Ducks put their babies to bed.  One child always is reluctant to go to sleep.

With the last one tucked in they snuggled up and became quiet.  Mama looks relieved.

The kids went with the first flag in honor of flag day.  Can you tell it is waving?

My kids love Cake Boss and have been wanting to decorate cakes.  It was a fun day.



Flower Power

I read an article this morning that left me in Awe.  Japan is planting sunflowers to remove radiation.  WOW!!  My favoritist (my word) instructor Philip Fritchey ND often says that he believes God has given us herbs for healing that we can all find near where we are.  I believe this also.  What an amazing Creator to give us plants to not only heal our bodies but heal the earth.  Sometimes I can be a sap and this morning I am a grateful teary eyed sap thinking of how we are provided for.  Read this article and know that the Creator of the Universe is amazing.

Swimming and Batman

We were at the pool yesterday and Batman rode up on a golf cart.  He must have left the Batmobile at home.  Brittany ran out to the truck to get the camera but Batman ran off before she made it back.  I didn't see the Bat Signal in the sky so I don't know if he was in a hurry to fight crime or not.  It was nice to know the caped crusader is in Texarkana and making the streets safe.
